2008 Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow Schedule

Douglas Blue Feather

The three time, NAMMY Award winning Native American flutist, Douglas Blue Feather, will again be performing throughout the pow wow this weekend in the arena and at the concert on Friday night for your listening pleasure. For the past several years he has performed and provided the sound system for the pow wow's dance arena. We are very pleased to have Doug returning to us again this year.

Douglas Blue Feather, Cherokee heritage, is a four time Native American Music Award Winner, known as a Nammy, which is one of the highest music awards in the country. His music is also being submitted to the Grammys this year.

Recognized as one of the top Native American flutists of today, the highlights of Doug’s career include winning the Eighth Annual Nammy for Best New Age Recording, the Seventh Annual Nammy for Best New Age Recording, the Sixth Annual Nammy for Flutist of the Year, and the Fifth Annual Nammy for Best Independent Recording of the Year. His “Heal The Earth” CD is a current nominee for the 9th Annual Nammys and he has 2 new CDs out, “Spirit Of The Flute” and “A Crown Of Stars”.
